The terminal

A terminal over a file.

Tape, chart, book, trades, news, positions, a ticket and your orders — all reading one .market.jsonl file you own. Arrange them as a dashboard and save the layout as a file too.

Three indicator lamps on a dark panel, the last one lit orange.

Plate 27 · Three lights on a desk: simulated, paper, live

Simulated, paper and live never mix.

Run an idea against recorded prices, then on a venue's paper account, and only then live. Each order is recorded before it is sent. Accepted is shown as accepted — not as filled.

Authority

An agent trades only what you grant.

A market grant names the venues, the symbols, the largest quantity, the largest notional and the most orders a day. The limits are checked on every order. Cancelling a resting order is always allowed.

Connectors exist for Alpaca, Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, Tradier and Interactive Brokers.

Start with recorded prices.

Open the workbench and try the terminal against a sample market file.
